Garrett Cooper Blasts Grand Slam In Win
6 years agoMiami Marlins first baseman Garrett Cooper led his team past the Cardinals on Wednesday. The 28-year-old went 3-for-5 on the night, tripling to right in his first plate appearance before belting a grand slam in the bottom of the second off of St. Louis righty Miles Mikolas. Cooper, who had a rocky start to the 2019 season, is sporting a .315 average to go along with 29 hits, 16 RBI, and five homers over the last month. While strikeouts continue to be an issue, he is worth keeping an eye on, especially in deeper leagues.
