Dellin Betances Suffers Setback
6 years agoNew York Yankees relief pitcher Dellin Betances (shoulder) was too sore to throw a bullpen session on Friday and will have his right shoulder examined by team doctor Chris Ahmad on Monday. Betances has been out all season and doesn't have a timetable for a return at this point. The hard-throwing right-hander typically doesn't see many save chances with Aroldis Chapman in the fold, but Betances has a career 2.36 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and outstanding 14.6 K/9 in 381 innings for the Yankees. When he's healthy, he can be useful in deeper leagues for his ratios and strikeout upside.
