6 years agoNew York Yankees manager Aaron Boone said that outfielder Giancarlo Stanton (calf) is "close" to a rehab assignment, but there is no date yet. It's been a lost season so far for Stanton, who has been out since March 31. Still, the 29-year-old needs to remain stashed in all leagues for his premier home run power. Stanton hit 38 homers in his first year in New York in 2018 and had a career-high 59 long balls and a league-leading 132 RBI in his final season in Miami in 2017. Hopefully this time Stanton won't suffer any setbacks on his minor league rehab assignment. Fingers crossed.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
