Mecole Hardman 2019 Outlook: The Next Tyreek Hill (On the Field)
6 years agoMecole Hardman was drafted in the second round of the 2019 NFL draft by the Kansas City Chiefs to essentially replicate the role that Tyreek Hill has filled the past few seasons. Although Hill may still play in 2019, the ongoing investigation looming over his recent child abuse scandal might cut his time short. Hardman is a skilled receiver who is in the same small, speedy mold as Hill. He ran a 4.33 40-yard dash at this year's NFL combine and displayed that separation ability on various occasions during his time as a Georgia Bulldog. Hardman's potential rookie production is directly linked to Tyreek Hill's availability. If Hill is not suspended by the team or league, Hardman is still going to play, but may not be fantasy viable due to the limited touches presented. If Hill were to miss time, Hardman would slot right in and essentially take up the snaps/touches that have opened up. It is a wait-and-see situation for now that could be fruitful if justice is served. His current ADP is just outside of the top-100 which is absolutely justifiable given the uncertainty around his role.
