Didi Gregorius To Be Eased Back In
6 years agoThe initial plan for when New York Yankees shortstop Didi Gregorius (elbow) returns from the injured list on Friday is for him to get one game off per series, according to manager Aaron Boone. Giovanny Urshela will mostly stay at third base, with Gleyber Torres and DJ LeMahieu rotating around the infield. Everyone will get more regular days off. Fantasy owners who have been stashing Gregorius have to be happy for his return, but he could be frustrating right off the bat with so many off days. Still, he can make a big difference after hitting a career-high 27 homers and driving in 86 runs with 10 steals in 2018 for the Bombers. It remains to be seen who'll be the biggest loser out of Urshela, Torres and LeMahieu with Gregorius back in the fold.
