Jordan Zimmermann Scratched From Rehab Start
6 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Jordan Zimmermann (elbow, gluteus) was scratched from his rehab start on Wednesday at Triple-A Toledo with left gluteus tightness. It was supposed to be Zimm's first rehab start after being diagnosed with a partially torn UCL in his right elbow. The 33-year-old righty wasn't effective before his injury with a 5.93 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 21 strikeouts in 30 1/3 innings over six starts and he doesn't have much left in the tank at this point. There remains no timetable for his return with this new injury, but fantasy owners weren't waiting for him to return anyway.
