Darius Slay Not Attending Mandatory Minicamp
6 years agoDetroit Lions Pro Bowl cornerback Darius Slay said that he will not attend the team's mandatory minicamp this week. Slay has forfeited a $250,000 bonus by missing voluntary workouts and will be fined $88,650 if he skips all three days of the minicamp this week. He has two years left on the four-year extension he signed in 2016 and is scheduled to make $12 million in base salary in 2019. The 28-year-old has become one of the better corners in the league and had 43 tackles and three interceptions (one touchdown) in 15 games for Detroit last season.
