Dinelson Lamet Makes Second Rehab Start
6 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Dinelson Lamet (elbow) allowed a grand slam and five runs in his second rehab start for High-A Lake Elsinore on Tuesday night, but his right elbow felt good. The right-hander will have at least one more rehab start at Elsinore before the Padres determine Lamet's next step in the rehab process. His fastball was up to 98 mph, which is a good sign coming back from Tommy John surgery, but he also allowed five hits and three walks. Lamet has a 14.40 ERA through two rehab starts, but the important thing is that his arm is healthy. He has the stuff to help fantasy owners in the second half of the season.
