J.P. Crawford Hoping For Short Stay On Injured List
6 years agoSeattle Mariners shortstop J.P. Crawford (ankle) has been working out in a pool to get the swelling out of his sprained left ankle, and he's already off crutches and out of a walking boot. He's hoping for a short stay on the 10-day injured list, and manager Scott Servais is optimistic the shortstop can return in around two weeks. That's good news for fantasy owners, as Crawford was really starting to shine before his injury and is hitting .279/.343/.426 with a homer and five RBI in his 61 at-bats this year. Tim Beckham will see most of the starts at shortstop with Crawford out, but his defense has been atrocious this year and the M's can't wait to get Crawford back in there.
