Miguel Cabrera To Undergo MRI Saturday
6 years agoDetroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera (knee) will undergo an MRI exam on his right knee on Saturday. "I felt it at the plate the last three games -- I didn't use my legs too much. It's hard because I want to be on the field. I want to be able to hit and play defense and help the team win. We'll see how I feel tomorrow," Cabrera said. There's a chance the 36-year-old could land on the injured list, depending on the results of the MRI. He's hit a decent .284 on the year, but his power has disappeared with two home runs and only 22 RBI in 219 plate appearances. Lower-body injuries have hurt Miggy in recent years as he ages, and don't expect the power to suddenly return as he declines towards the end of his career.
