Carlos Correa To Miss 4-6 Weeks With Fractured Rib
6 years agoThe Houston Astros placed All-Star shortstop Carlos Correa (rib) on the 10-day injured list on Wednesday due to a fractured rib that will keep him out for roughly four to six weeks. Infielder/outfielder Myles Straw has been called up from Triple-A Round Rock in a corresponding move. Correa was having a fine bounce-back season, so this is a huge blow to Houston and his fantasy owners. The 24-year-old was hitting .295/.360/.547 with 11 home runs, 26 runs, 35 RBI and one stolen base. Keep him stashed and be patient. With Jose Altuve (hamstring, knee) also sidelined, the 'Stros will have to get creative in the middle infield. Alex Bregman can also play shortstop, while Jack Mayfield, Tony Kemp and Straw could help out at the keystone.
