Jared Goff 2019 Outlook: Leading An Effective Offense Gives Fantasy Value
6 years agoLos Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff may have faltered in the biggest game of them all, but that is no reason to not look at him seriously this draft season. Goff leads a team that has a great offensive coach in Sean McVay and surrounded by a huge amount of offensive talent. Goff has at his disposal arguably the best trio of wide receivers in the league, all able to be on the field at the same time Brandin Cooks, Robert Woods, and Cooper Kupp. Cooks and Woods both caught over 80 passes last season for over 1,200 yards each and 11 touchdowns between them. Kupp missed more than half the season, but ended the season on a similar pace, with his stats amounting to 91 receptions, nearly 1,300 yards, and 13 touchdowns. Certainly, there are concern's around the fitness of running back Todd Gurley's knee, but the system the Rams use looked to be effective when stand-in C.J. Anderson was brought in towards the end of the season. Currently, the wide receivers are being drafted in and around the early to mid-rounds, and Gurley being taken in the first round- if we are to believe that the players will return that value, then Goff simply has to be an effective fantasy quarterback.
