Joey Votto Out With Tight Hamstring
6 years agoUpdating a previous report, Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto (hamstring) is out of the lineup on Tuesday due to a tight right hamstring that he suffered while scoring on a sacrifice fly in Game 1 of the doubleheader on Monday. The injury isn't expected to be serious, but Votto could miss a bit more time. The 35-year-old veteran is still getting on base at a healthy .340 clip, but he has only four home runs and 10 RBI in 186 at-bats and is hitting a mediocre .242. Votto has gotten off to slow starts in his career before, but we finally may be seeing his downfall near the end of his career.
