5 years agoCincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto is not in the starting lineup for Game 2 of a doubleheader on Monday. Derek Dietrich will start at first base and hit cleanup against rookie Mitch Keller, who will be making his major league debut. Dietrich went hitless with a strikeout in three plate appearances in the first game and is hitting .234/.348/.622 but with 13 home runs, 20 runs and 28 RBI on the season. He's a decent low-priced daily pick in the cleanup spot against a rookie in the nightcap. Votto had three hits (one double), two runs scored and an RBI in five plate appearances in the first game to raise his slash line to a disappointing .242/.340/.366 on the season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
