Welington Castillo Leaves Game Early Friday
6 years agoChicago White Sox catcher Welington Castillo (head) left the game early on Friday after taking a foul tip off his mask in the eighth inning. He had a single in four plate appearances before departing. Castillo has had a rough go of it so far in 2019, hitting .176/.286/.318 with only three home runs and 10 RBI in 98 plate appearances. James McCann has been the far better catcher for fantasy owners and will likely start on Saturday. Castillo is likely going through the league's concussion protocol, so stay tuned on his status for the rest of the weekend and beyond.
