Corey Dickerson To Begin Rehab Assignment Friday
6 years agoPittsburgh Pirates outfielder Corey Dickerson (shoulder) is set to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Indianapolis on Friday. Dickerson has been out of action since April 4 with a shoulder strain. He's already suffered a setback once, so the Pirates want to make sure he is fully recovered before returning. In just four games, the 30-year-old is slashing .154/.313/.462, with a home run and two runs batted in. Bryan Reynolds and Melky Cabrera have been impressive as replacements. Reynolds, a rookie, is batting .321 with four homers and 12 RBI, while Cabrera has three home runs and 15 RBI, while sporting a healthy .333 average. The Pirates will likely have some decisions to make once Dickerson is healthy, but if he is on your waiver wire, he may be worthy of a stash if you have an open IL spot available.
