Zach Britton Was Unavailable Wednesday
6 years agoNew York Yankees manager Aaron Boone said that relief pitcher Zach Britton was unavailable on Wednesday and was "a little beat up." Britton said nothing in particular was bothering him, but he's thrown a lot of innings lately. The left-handed reliever will be available on Thursday. The 31-year-old is 2-0 on the season with a 2.53 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, one save and 22 K's in 21 1/3 innings as a late-inning setup man and bridge to closer Aroldis Chapman. Unfortunately, Britton no longer has much fantasy value without consistent save chances in the ninth inning.
