Tommy Milone To Start Tuesday
6 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Tommy Milone will start on Tuesday against the Rangers, according to manager Scott Servais. Milone will help to fill the void in the rotation created when the team sent Erik Swanson to the minors. The left-handed Milone had a 5.81 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 7.9 K/9 in five outings (four starts) for the Nationals in 2018. He was 4-2 with a 3.83 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 7.8 K/9 in nine outings (eight starts) over 49 1/3 innings with Triple-A Tacoma before being called up. If he pitches well, Milone could stick around for a bit. However, he'll be a very risky streamer in deeper leagues against Texas.
