Justin Upton Out At Least Another Month
6 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Justin Upton (toe) hasn't had any setbacks from with his left toe injury, but he also said he's still "a while" away from returning. His initial timeline of eight to 12 weeks hasn't changed, and he could be out roughly another month. Upton hasn't started running on flat ground but has been using a gravity-altering treadmill, which allows him to put only around 80 percent of his body weight on his feet. He's also been doing light throwing and swinging. He hit .257/.344/.463 with 30 home runs, 18 doubles and 85 RBI in 145 games last season and needs to remain stashed in all leagues. Brian Goodwin continues to man left field on most days in his absence.
