6 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez (ankle) was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday morning. Jimenez crashed into the outfield wall on Friday, and while an x-ray ruled out any fractures, he does have a significant ankle sprain. The talented rookie will likely miss a couple of weeks. In his absence, Ryan Cordell will see more playing time in the outfield. The 27-year-old is batting .258 with two home runs and five RBI through 31 at-bats in 2019.
