6 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Ian Desmond will be on the bench for Wednesday's contest against Anibal Sanchez and the Washington Nationals. Desmond has a subpar .177 average with one home run, 10 RBI, and a 23/3 K/BB rate through 83 at-bats this season. In his absence, the scorching-hot Raimel Tapia will start in left field and bat seventh. Tapia has hits in seven of his past eight contests with seven RBI over the same span.
