Aaron Hicks Still Weeks Away From Return
6 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Hicks (back) has "still got some weeks to go" before he is able to make his season debut, according to manager Aaron Boone. Hicks has yet to resume baseball activities, but the skipper thinks he will soon. The switch-hitting center fielder has a high ceiling when he's healthy for his mix of speed and power in a potent lineup, but he's often set back by nagging injuries like this. With both he and Giancarlo Stanton on the injured list right now, the Yanks outfield depth is being tested early on. Brett Gardner will man center field and bat leadoff most days, while Mike Tauchman and Clint Frazier will likely platoon in left field. Hicks is still worth stashing in most mixed leagues if you have the room.
