Justin Upton Out 8-12 Weeks
6 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Justin Upton (toe) is expected to miss eight to 12 weeks, according to manager Brad Ausmus. Upton had previously been diagnosed with turf toe, but doctors deemed Upton needed to miss considerable time after further evaluation. Fantasy owners that took Upton as a top-25 outfielder in fantasy drafts will need to look for other options to replace Upton for the first several months of the season. The Halos started Peter Bourjos in left on Opening Day and are going with Brian Goodwin on Friday night. Neither player is particularly interesting in mixed leagues, although Bourjos might be an option in AL-only leagues for outfield depth.
