Pheonix Copley Registers Victory At Home
6 years agoWashington Capitals goaltender Pheonix Copley allowed just one goal on 34 shots in Sunday's 3-1 home victory against the Winnipeg Jets. It was fairly impressive considering the Jets lit the lamp eight times on Friday night to cool off the red-hot Carolina Hurricanes in Raleigh. Copley has posted a 15-5-3 record with a 2.97 goals-against average and .904 save percentage, serving as a dependable option for when Braden Holtby needs a breather. The Caps are back in action Tuesday in New Jersey before returning home Wednesday against Tampa Bay. Look for Copley and Holtby to split those starting assignments.
