Justin Turner 2019 Outlook: Ready to Bounce Back in 2019
6 years agoDespite an injury-marred 2018 season, Turner put up essentially the same numbers that garnered him his first All-Star appearance in 2017. Over 426 plate appearances last year, Turner hit .312 with 14 home runs and a .924 OPS. It was the second straight season for Turner with an OPS over .900, and he would have been on pace to hit 23 home runs over a full season. Now that he’s a season removed from injury, Turner has the potential to become a draft-day steal. His advanced metrics don’t show any warning signs of regression, so owners should expect Turner to hit around .300 once again. It’s also looking like Turner will slot in at the number three spot in the lineup behind A.J. Pollock and Corey Seager, putting him in a great position to boost his RBI total. Add all that up, along with his 20 home run potential, and owners might want to look at targeting Turner at an ADP of around 85 rather than his current 108 ADP.
