Titans Still Evaluating Marcus Mariota
6 years agoTennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel said that quarterback Marcus Mariota (elbow) is still being evaluated, and the team is hoping for good news. Mariota had to leave the Week 1 contest against the Dolphins and was experiencing numbness in his hand and fingers. That doesn't seem to be a good sign, but we'll wait for clarification on the extent of his injury. The 24-year-old was just 9-for-16 for 103 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions in the season opener. With the team's two best offensive tackles -- Jack Conklin and Taylor Lewan -- hurt and tight end Delanie Walker (ankle) done for the year, the Titans are definitely hurting early. It's even more bad news for an already injured Mariota heading into Week 2 against the Texans. Even if he's able to play this week, he'll be an option to avoid.
