Falcons Red-Zone Struggles Continue Into Week 1
6 years agoThe Atlanta Falcons red-zone struggles from 2017 continued in Week 1 on Thursday night in an 18-12 loss to the Eagles. In five red-zone trips, the team had a touchdown, field goal, interception turnover on downs and ran out of time at the end of the game. The Falcons ran 17 plays in the red zone on Thursday, and quarterback Matt Ryan went 1-for-9 with an interception in the red area, according to ESPN Stats & Info. Ryan was pretty bad on Thursday night when he wasn't targeting wide receiver Julio Jones. If the Falcons don't get their red-zone problems fixed quickly, their fantasy options will continue to suffer. They have a tough matchup in Week 2 against the Panthers, too.
