6 years agoNew York Mets first baseman/outfielder Jay Bruce is in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Mets are trying to give Bruce as much playing time as possible, but this could hurt their offense. Bruce will bat sixth and play right field versus lefty Alex Wood. Bruce is hitting .188/.235/.313 with one home run and six RBI off left-handed pitching this season. Brandon Nimmo will take a seat for this contest, so the Mets believe more in Bruce than Nimmo against a lefty starter. The veteran slugger does have plenty of power in his bat, but isn't worth using in DFS contests on Monday.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
