Carson Wentz Not Expected To Start In Week 1
6 years agoThe Philadelphia Eagles plan is to start quarterback Nick Foles in the season opener on Thursday against the Falcons over Carson Wentz (knee), according to sources. Wentz's rehab has been a successful process, but the Eagles are taking the cautious approach. Wentz could possibly sit out another week, too, which makes his draft stock entering the season finale take an even bigger hit. Wentz has top-five QB upside over the full season, but he's not as attractive now as a QB1. Foles was injured in the preseason and didn't look good when he played. Despite being the Super Bowl MVP, Foles isn't a very good DFS pick for Week 1, especially with receiver Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) expected to sit out.
