6 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen will return to closing duties for the first game of a huge four-game series against the Diamondbacks on Thursday, according to manager Dave Roberts. Since returning from the disabled list due to issues with an irregular heartbeat on Aug. 20, Jansen hasn't been himself, giving up 10 hits (four home runs) and seven earned runs in just four innings. He went 0-2 with a blown save in that span. As a result, Kenta Maeda filled in for the save against the Rangers on Wednesday. Jansen's owners may want to keep him benched until he shows signs of his old self, but the good news is he should see the next save chance regardless.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
