Cowboys Looking For Safety Help
6 years agoWith Dallas Cowboys safety Xavier Woods' (hamstring) availability for the start of the regular season in doubt, executive vice president Stephen Jones admitted the team is looking for safety help. Woods' backup, Kavon Frazier, will play with a separated shoulder. Starting strong safety Jeff Heath has suffered from an illness and a sprained ankle. Seahawks safety Earl Thomas would be an upgrade at the position, but the Seahawks are still holding out for a second-round pick. Jones said the Cowboys haven't talked to the Seahawks lately about a trade. If Dallas can't get a consistent pass rush on opposing quarterbacks, they could be in for another long season defensively.
