6 years agoSan Francisco Giants catcher Buster Posey (hip) will officially miss the rest of the 2018 season following season-ending hip surgery. The surgery is to repair his labrum and to remove a bone spur in his right hip. Posey is expected to be sidelined for six to possibly eight months. He should be ready for the start of the 2019 season if he doesn't suffer any setbacks. It's unclear whether or not Posey will play any games this week.
