6 years agoDetroit Lions tight end Hakeem Valles continued his strong preseason on Friday night, catching three passes for 38 yards. Valles showed his big-play potential, with all three receptions being at least 12 yards long. The third-year tight end has been impressing the coaching staff thus far, having spent time with the first-team offense in practice over the past few weeks. The 25-year-old spent the majority of 2017 on Detroit’s practice squad, but he is clearly making a name for himself this preseason. With Luke Willson suffering a knee injury, Valles has a serious shot at making the final 53-man roster and even pushing for consistent playing time if he continues to produce.--Steve Janik - RotoBaller
