Doug Martin 2018 Player Outlook: Veteran Will Need An Injury For Fantasy Relevance
6 years agoOakland Raiders running back Doug Martin will head west in 2018 after spending the first six seasons of his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Martin enters a crowded running back room that will be hard to predict from a fantasy standpoint. Veteran Marshawn Lynch will enter the season as the team's early-down back while third-year backs Jalen Richard and Deandre Washington are still in the mix for touches. A fantasy star earlier in his career, Martin will need an injury (or two) ahead of him to offer much fantasy value in 2018. He can be drafted as a late-round flier in fantasy but don't hesitate to cut him if he's not getting work after a week or two.
