Mohamed Sanu 2018 Player Outlook: May Suffer From Crowded Receiving Corps
6 years agoAtlanta Falcons wide receiver Mohamed Sanu set a career high in 2017 with 67 catches while his five touchdowns tied a career high. The veteran slot receiver has certainly enjoyed his two seasons with the Falcons, averaging 88.5 targets, 63 catches, 678 yards, and 4.5 touchdowns with the team, but he may have a difficult time replicating his success this season. Already a middling flex option in fantasy, Sanu is likely to see his targets dip after the Falcons used a first-round pick on receiver Calvin Ridley. Add in other talented pass-catchers such as Julio Jones, Austin Hooper, Devonta Freeman, and Tevin Coleman, and Sanu's upside is extremely limited. Draft Sanu as a WR5 this season and you won't be disappointed with his final numbers.
