John Ross Makes His One Catch Count
6 years agoCincinnati Bengals wide receiver John Ross posted a 29-yard catch in Saturday's preseason win against the Dallas Cowboys, his only successful grab across three targets. He also reeled in a reception on a two-point conversion. Ross is having a decent training camp and preseason, and he chalks up his lost rookie season in 2017 due to an early injury which sent him into a tailspin. He looks like a high-round draft pick this time around as he tries to hold off Tyler Boyd for the starting job opposite star A.J. Green. The team must feel fairly confident in his ability to take a big step forward, as they jettisoned veteran Brandon LaFell early in camp. Josh Malone is also in the mix, but the job is there for Ross to lose. If Ross can stay healthy he is a sleeper with WR3 or flex ability, and he'll exceed his late-round ADP by miles.
