Several Injured Jets Make Way Back Onto Field
6 years agoNew York Jets running back Trenton Cannon (foot), tight end Chris Herndon IV (knee) and wide receiver Neal Sterling (ankle) were able to return to the practice field on Saturday. It was a good day for the offense, too, as they were joined by starting offensive linemen Kelvin Beachum (foot) and Brian Winters (abdomen). Cornerback Parry Nickerson (undisclosed) and linebacker Lorenzo Mauldin (hamstring) were also able to take part in on-field drills. The Jets are getting healthier ahead of their crucial third preseason game and that's a good thing. Cannon was even able to do some work in the return game on Saturday. The biggest news might be the return of the two offensive linemen, and the quarterback room was likely smiling the most because of this news. Quarterbacks enjoy being upright.
