Derrick Henry 2018 Player Outlook: Touchdown-Dependent Running Back Again
6 years agoTennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry saw his 2018 outlook shift a few times throughout the offseason. The third-year running back looked to be the team's bellcow back in March when the team released DeMarco Murray. Then the Titans went out and signed free-agent running back Dion Lewis to a four-year, $20 million contract. Look for Henry to take on an early-down and goal-line role with Lewis seeing most of the work in the passing game in 2018. This will serve to cap the upside of both players, although Henry still has double-digit touchdown upside if the Tennessee offense is as improved as training camp reports indicate. Draft Henry as an RB3 in fantasy leagues but prepare for some frustrating weeks when he doesn't find the end zone, especially in PPR leagues.
