Alex Collins Remains Atop The RB Depth Chart In Baltimore
6 years agoBaltimore Ravens running back Alex Collins managed just two carries in Thursday's preseason matchup with the Rams, which comes as no surprise for a running back that should expect to see heavy volume throughout the regular season. For what it's worth, Collins averaged 13 yards per carry on each of his attempts. Collins is competing with veteran Javorius Allen, who managed just one carry against the Rams, and oft-injured Kenneth Dixon, who was recently noted being on the roster bubble. Collins is a candidate for heavy volume this season in a Ravens offense that will rely on him heavily, and he should be targeted as a high-end RB2 or even a back-end RB1.
