Marcus Stroman Suffers Injury Tuesday
6 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Marcus Stroman (finger) was removed from his start on Tuesday with a right middle finger blister. The injury puts a sour note on an otherwise great night for Stroman, as he held the first-place Red Sox to just two hits and an unearned run while walking three and striking out four over seven innings. Stroman's overall numbers don't look great, but he's been decent since returning from the disabled list in late June, entering Tuesday's start with a 3.99 ERA since June 23. He doesn't strike out many (7.07 K/9), but he can still be useful in deep mixed leagues. Here's hoping his finger injury won't keep him from his next start.
