Braxton Miller Making A Case For A Roster Spot
6 years agoHouston Texans wide receiver Braxton Miller has been making a case for a roster spot in training camp so far. He has had an encouraging camp and has shown his versatility and more consistent hands. Miller is facing competition for the slot role from rookie Keke Coutee, who is now sidelined a few weeks with a strained hamstring. "He’s come a long ways in the years he’s been here," head coach Bill O'Brien said. "Again, he’s going to have to go out there and continue to get better and improve, but I do see a lot of improvement with him.” Miller had a career-high 19 catches for 162 yards and one touchdown in 2017, but he's played in just 21 games in his two seasons because of injuries. If he wins the slot job outright to open the year, he might be worth a late-round flier in deeper leagues.
