J.A. Happ Going On DL
6 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher J.A. Happ (illness) will go on the disabled list on Thursday after contracting hand, foot and mouth disease. Happ should only miss his start this weekend against the Red Sox. The veteran left-hander is 11-6 on the year with a 4.05 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and very useful 9.9 K/9 in 21 starts. It's unclear who will fill in for Happ this weekend, but it could be Luis Cessa. Cessa wouldn't be a good streamer choice against the powerful Red Sox lineup.
