Amara Darboh 2018 Outlook: Marshall Will Need To Be Cut
6 years agoAmara Darboh was headed for an increased role with the Seahawks in 2018, but then they added veteran wide receiver Brandon Marshall to the mix and now things seem a bit foggy. Darboh had a chance to see game action last year, but only hauled in eight receptions. The question becomes which Marshall we will see this season. Will it be the highly disappointing Marshall from last year or the WR1 from a few years ago with the Jets?
The loss of Jimmy Graham and Paul Richardson alone will leave 176 targets unaccounted for from last season. If Marshall has lost a step and is overlooked in favor of Darboh in training camp, then you will want to own him prior to that happening. Darboh is still worth a late round stash in deep leagues. Darboh could still beat out Marshall for playing time this season and the Seahawks could release Marshall in training camp if he can’t keep up. If that happens, Darboh will step in for his shot at 176 targets.
