Pierre Garcon 2018 Outlook: The PPR Monster
6 years agoThe San Francisco 49ers are on the rise after landing their franchise quarterback last season. Jimmy Garoppolo got his shot to show what we may be looking at for 2018 and beyond and Garoppolo did not disappoint. As well as he and the rest of the 49ers played during the final five games of the 2017 season, one major piece was still missing.
Pierre Garcon only played in eight games last season after going down with a neck injury. Even though Garcon didn’t score a touchdown last season, he still hauled in 40 catches for 500 yards from C.J. Beathard and Brian Hoyer. In PPR leagues, Garcon is going to be a great middle round stash that will rack up some catches and points for you. In every season that Garcon has played 16 games, he has seen at least 100 targets. Garcon also turned in the WR23 season just two years ago in Washington as the top option. There is a very good chance Garcon leads the 49ers in targets in 2018. Even though he only played eight games, Garcon was third in targets on the 49ers last season with 67. The 49ers decided not to add a top receiver this off-season through free agency or the draft, which should tell you a lot about how they feel regarding the receives currently on the roster.
