Tom Brady 2018 Outlook: Another Great Year For The GOAT?
6 years agoSince 2000, the New England Patriots have been graced by arguably the greatest quarterback of all time, but is this the year that Tom Brady finally falls from elite status? During the last five weeks of the regular season last year, Brady was the 18th best quarterback. Obviously, the last time we saw Brady play was in the Super Bowl when he put together an amazing game with 508 yards and three touchdowns in the Patriots loss. So what gives... is it finally the down turn for Brady or will he maintain his top tier QB status?
The fact that he is still being drafted in the fifth/sixth round range is ideal, which leads me to think that he can still be a top quarterback option if you miss out on the likes of Aaron Rodgers. Brady, Deshaun Watson, Russell Wilson and Cam Newton are all being drafted around one another, so it could come down to how your league drafts to break down who you end up with out of that bunch.
The loss of Dion Lewis and Danny Amendola this offseason will be tough to replace, and to make matters worse Julian Edelman is suspended for the first four games. Rob Gronkowski will be heavily relied on in the early-going, but Brady should still be great this year and is well worth his ADP in redraft leagues.
