Jaron Brown 2018 Outlook: Underrated And Underappreciated Talent Will Continue To Be Underrated And Underappreciated
6 years agoThe man once known as simply "the other J. Brown" is playing for a new team in 2018 with Seattle. With the departures of Jimmy Graham and Paul Richardson, the Seahawks have 176 vacated targets. Doug Baldwin has never eclipsed 125 targets and the only other receiver of relevance is Tyler Lockett, who also isn't the guy to command a huge target share. The stars could be aligning for a late career breakout for Jaron Brown. He has upper percentile athleticism and splashed enough times last season to remind everyone the talent is there. Brown should start in three receiver sets and has the potential to emerge as the second option in the passing game behind Baldwin. I wouldn't say it is likely, but Brown has WR3 potential in a Russell Wilson led offense. You could do worse for a late round flier.
