Jake Arrieta Gets Back On Track With Win
6 years agoAfter a disastrous June, Philadelphia Phillies start Jake Arrieta perhaps took a turn for the better Saturday against the Pittsburgh Pirates, the old division rival from his days with the Chicago Cubs. The 32-year-old surrendered just two runs across seven innings of work, striking out eight, his most in a game since April. He allowed six hits but kept most of the possible damage in check. The winning effort, his first since the end of May, moved his season record to 6-6 while his ERA went down to 3.47 on the year.
