Titans Exercising Marcus Mariota's Fifth-Year Option
7 years agoTennessee Titans general manager Jon Robinson announced Wednesday that they will pick up quarterback Marcus Mariota's fifth-year option, as expected. While Mariota has been a disappointment in his three years with the Titans, this was the right move as their franchise QB. He hasn't yet played a full season and hasn't reached 4,000 yards passing or thrown 20 touchdowns in a single season. However, the offense is being molded to fit his strengths in 2018, and with an improved overall team around him, he could be in line for a breakout. Of course, most fantasy owners aren't banking on that, and he should still be drafted as a QB2 with upside.
