Chris Archer Lit Up By Philadelphia Saturday
7 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Chris Archer allowed seven earned runs versus Philadelphia Saturday. He lasted only four innings with only two strikeouts. This was just the latest in a season remarkable by how little of the Rays innings have been handled by the pitcher who started the game. Archer is usually an elite strikeout pitcher who has had at least 233 K's in each of the past three seasons. Archer's next scheduled outing is against Minnesota where he will likely be opposed by a strong pitcher in Lance Lynn.
