Wil Myers Could Be Out of Lineup Until Weekend
7 years agoAfter being replaced in the sixth inning on Monday and sitting out Tuesday's game due to an upper arm injury, San Diego Union-Tribune writer Kevin Acee reports that San Diego Padres outfielder Wil Myers could be out of the lineup until the Padres weekend series against the Astros. Acee writes that the Padres could be looking to pencil him in at designated hitter for the weekend series, as most of the discomfort Myers has felt came while playing in the field. For now it seems like Myers could avoid the disabled list, but there are no guarantees and owners should closely monitor the situation while he is still experiencing discomfort. As long as Myers cannot play the field, outfielder Hunter Renfroe will benefit from more playing time.
